Nottingham Zinc Group is pleased to have been chosen as finalist in the annual awards given by the plating industry association, the SEA. The Category 1 Business Achievement Award recognises two successful achievements by NZG - each of which helps to secure the company's future.
At NZG's Nottingham facility, £350,000 has been invested in new purpose-built plant, creating 25% more jobs and new opportunities for direct export to the USA. Product quality has increased and chemical waste has been reduced. A three year contract has been obtained from a major client as a direct consequence of the investment.
The the County Durham plant, in partnership with Bekaert Handling, Nottingham Zinc Group has managed the installation of a new plating plant and is now managing the plant on behalf of the client. This has resulted in a 50% reduction in costs of plating, as well as reducing transport costs. The facility is the first of its kind in the UK to obtain a full IPPC permit for the plating plant and associated effluent treatment plant.
